return your samples

Your DNA will be extracted from the sample you
provide.

A computerized profile will be provided as a
printout and an emailed file. This data can be compared
against future samples or used for any type of PCR DNA testing
(identity comparison, paternity, maternity, etc).

Court Admissible Personal Identity DNA Extraction
|

relationship issue subsequent to death. Court admissible
personally identity results can be placed within a will or trust
to resolve probate or estate disputes.

Personal Identity DNA Storage
|
DNA storage allows preservation of your
family’s genetic history in the event a future test is
required. |

The FTA card has been proven to store DNA
for at least 11.25 years. The expected lifetime
storage of the FTA card has been estimated as high as 50
years. |
|
The FTA card is a chemically treated filter
paper designed for the collection and room-temperature
storage of biological samples for subsequent DNA
analysis. |
|

Personal Identity DNA Storage Procedure
|
Use one swab per person. Remove the
swab from the package, being careful not to touch the foam
tip. |
|
Grasping the plastic handle, place
the foam tip in the mouth and vigorously swab the inside
of both cheeks. Move
the swab between the gum line and the fold of the cheek,
and under the tongue. (Soak up as much saliva as
possible). |
|
Remove the swab from the mouth and
transfer the sample to the FTA card by pressing the foam
tip within the circle.
Press firmly to transfer as much saliva as possible
from the foam tip to the circles.
Continue pressing until the circle is saturated
with saliva. Turn
the foam over and repeat transfer. |
|
Do the above steps on each person. After the last sample has been applied to the FTA card, close
the paper flap and place into barrier pouch.
Remove the cover from the barrier pouch seal and
close the barrier pouch. |
